I am not loving Rome this time about.
Is it me?
There was something disappointing and conventional about Timon's refusal to be uttterly brutish, Atia's shakiness and the fact that Sevilla survived. Pardon me very much, but this society entertained themselves watching convicted being torn apart - I have far more trouble believing that a hired bravo would suddenly scruple at skinning and raping a woman to death than the reverse.
Call me cynical.
As for Atia - again, *yawn* - darling, remorse is so common I had such high hopes that you would embrace your sociopathic self. Disappointing really, that you didn't cut Servilla's throat yourself. Especially since she seduced and suborned your daughter to spy for her and plotted in the murder of your patron. Let alone that whole poisoning business.
Really, I don't know how you can stand to been seen in public what with Servilla shitting on the honour of the Julii name with every breath she takes...
Vorenus and Pullo, though, were lovely as always. Pity, really, that the fictional characters should be the interesting bits of the show - the real Rome was so much more interesting...
