1) My dad is currently officially cancer-free: when everything is said and done, living in a world without him is unthinkable.
2) I have friends who will nag me to be positive and make a list of the things I'm thankful for.
3) My body, which inspite of being about 130 pounds heavier than I would like, is strong and healthy and mostly does what I tell it to and hasn't yet decided to break down in some nefarious and permanent fashion.
4) That I joined a gym and that I can afford - even when I'm living on overdraft and have maxed out my ridiculously huge VISA limit - to do pretty much what I want to do.
5) That I was born in Canada and that, as knotty and insoluable and frequently crazy-ranty-berserk-making it can be, this is a still a country where our institutions will spend considerable time and money arguing about the degree to which we, as a country, are obligated to protect the legal rights of recognized scumbags and other assorted non-citizens and/or accused terrorists and enemy combatants, even when they're not arrested in Canada. I may not always agree with the answer but I'm incredibly proud of the debate.
6) My faith, which encourages me to believe that things like having a positive and charitable attitude towards all souls matters. Even when I really don't want to.
