Update: Empire Declining More Slowly Than Previously Reported

Apparently, the news release from Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility (peer.com), "OLD IS THE GRAND CANYON? PARK SERVICE WON’T SAY — Orders to Cater to Creationists Makes National Park Agnostic on Geology", that I posted earlier is not, as my Alter Ego would say, entirely accurate.

Apparently, the book about Noah's Flood and the Grand Canyon is for sale in the park, but Park Rangers are still yakking the ears off tourists about the Canyon's geological history.

Bad, public advocacy group! No bone! I can't believe the Internet lied to me *iz shocked*.

Tim Horton's though? Still totally spying on people with their special Remembrance Day quarters.

US Park Service Not Saying How Old Grand Canyon Is to Avoid Offending Ignorant Cranks Creationsists. Meanwhile, a book on how Noah's Flood created the Grand Canyon remains onsale in the park.

*facepalm*

Yeah, just, no, okay?

Meanwhile, Canadian Change Spies on US Defence Contractors.

Tim Horton's is watching you. Beware!

eta: US Dept. of Energy wants to spend $1 Billion to produce a Zero-Emissions Fossil Fuel-Burning Powerplant (tip of the hat to [livejournal.com profile] jonquil).*

Y'know, if I tried, I couldn't make this shit up.

*The Rock Doctor tells me this isn't as stupid an idea as I think it is. I remain... o_O about it.
