I'm reading TWoP's recap of the last episode of The OC and, keeping in mind that I stopped watching years ago, it sounds horrifically bad.
Of course, McG is also responsible for "Search for the Next Pussycat Doll" and, well, that really speaks for itself doesn't it?
eta: There is a theme running through my day and that theme is "original works that are worse than fanfic"* - first Laurell K. Hamilton and now the last episode of The OC.
